Kishori Pednekar Labels RSS as Fascist, Defends Dia Mirzas Comments on Fireworks

Shiv Sena (UBT) leader Kishori Pednekar criticizes the RSS and BJP, asserting the country must adhere to the Constitution, not Hindutva.

Mumbai, November 3 (Daily Kiran) : Shiv Sena (UBT) leader Kishori Pednekar has sharply criticized the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) and the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) while supporting actress Dia Mirza‘s remarks about pollution and fireworks. In response to Union Home Minister Amit Shah‘s comments regarding illegal immigrants, Pednekar described the RSS as a fascist organization, emphasizing that the nation should operate under the law and the Constitution.

“Diwali is celebrated by everyone. People light fireworks and candles. What Dia Mirza said is valid; many people today acknowledge the significant pollution caused by fireworks and advocate for options that minimize this impact. The BJP, as always, is trying to divide Hindus and Muslims, making their statements nonsense,” she stated.

Pednekar questioned the BJP’s focus, pointing out their failure to address pressing issues such as job creation, education, and farmer support.

Responding to Shah’s remarks about immigrants, she asked, “Are all these people illegal immigrants? If so, remove the real ones, but you can’t deny that over 13.5 crore people have been excluded from the electoral process. Are they all illegal immigrants?”

She asserted that the RSS instills hatred in its members, labeling it a fascist organization with ideologies reminiscent of Hitler. “This organization is steeped in fascist ideology. Their mannerisms and greetings reflect that background. The Prime Minister and Home Minister, shaped by this organization, continue to spout nonsense. This country will be governed by law and the Constitution, not by the ideologies of the RSS or Hindutva,” she stated.

On the topic of a mosque in Kolkata named after the Babri Masjid, Pednekar accused Humayun Kabir of inciting Muslims, suggesting that the BJP likely supports his political maneuvers. “There are many parties that exploit religion and caste for political gain, often funded by those in power. They do not deserve our attention; Muslims will not support them,” she added.

Regarding actor Imran Khan’s apology, she expressed that the High Court’s decision should be respected.

Pednekar also addressed rumors of a rift within the Nationalist Congress Party (NCP), implying that those spreading such rumors may be seeking guidance from Amit Shah. “Your party should be making decisions independently, not following Shah’s lead like a puppet,” she remarked.

She claimed that the NCP may cease to exist as a political force, suggesting that Sharad Pawar’s health issues limit his influence. “For their own good, they should join Congress. They have no other option. If they prefer the BJP, they should go there,” she concluded.
