Mumbai Remains Safe Amid Security Concerns, Says Shiv Sena

Shiv Sena reassures citizens of Mumbais safety, emphasizing strong law enforcement amid recent threats to Bollywood stars.

Mumbai, November 3 (Daily Kiran) : Mumbai’s security remains intact, according to Shiv Sena leaders, who addressed rising concerns following threats to Bollywood celebrities. On November 3, the party emphasized that law and order in Maharashtra is firmly in the hands of Union Home Minister Amit Shah and Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis. They assured that it is the government’s duty to protect every citizen and take strict action against criminals.

Recent incidents have heightened fears for the safety of Bollywood figures. Actor Amitabh Bachchan was seen greeting fans from behind bulletproof glass outside his Juhu residence, ‘Jalsa,’ after receiving threatening emails regarding an attack on his home. Similarly, actor Tusshar Kapoor received an audio message demanding a ransom of ₹5 crore from someone claiming to be a member of the Lawrence Bishnoi gang. Authorities are actively investigating both cases.

Shiv Sena leader Anand Dubey stated that Mumbai is completely safe and that anyone attempting to disturb the peace will be apprehended and prosecuted. He reiterated that ensuring the safety of every citizen is a fundamental responsibility of the government. Regarding Tusshar Kapoor’s threat, he confirmed that police investigations are underway.

National spokesperson Shaina NC also expressed confidence in the Mumbai police’s ability to maintain security for all citizens, including high-profile individuals like Amitabh Bachchan. She noted that there are established protocols for VIP security worldwide. If any threats are perceived, Mumbai police and private security agencies recommend additional protective measures.

Shaina NC further mentioned that whether it involves installing transparent bulletproof glass or other security arrangements, all decisions are made with public safety in mind. Such measures, she argued, are in the best interest of everyone involved.
