Seoul, September 22 (Daily Kiran) : North Korean leader Kim Jong Un has urged party officials to revamp the party’s propaganda and ideological campaigns to meet the demands of the current times. Speaking at the closing of a workshop for information sector officials, he emphasized the need to modernize the content, format, methods, and tools of ideological work.
According to the Korean Central News Agency (KCNA), Kim highlighted the importance of innovation in the dissemination of information and motivation, stressing that these efforts should align with the “times, revolution, and people’s expectations.”
He specifically called for the use of modern information and technical tools to completely halt the spread of “reactionary ideological culture.” This move is viewed as an attempt to more effectively block the influx of external ideas and influences.
The four-day workshop, which concluded recently, focused on ideological education based on Kim’s “revolutionary thoughts” and the party’s revolutionary legacies and leadership achievements. Participants were encouraged to accelerate information and propaganda campaigns to inspire the public in line with the decisions made at the Ninth Congress of the Workers’ Party of Korea, tailoring ideological work to fit each sector and unit.
Discussions also covered new forms and methods of ideological work, including effective strategies for using visual aids to present information in a realistic and engaging manner. This workshop was the third in a series that began in 2022, with Kim participating in both the opening and closing ceremonies, delivering speeches on each occasion.
