Kiara Advani Reveals Why She Considered Slapping Shahid Kapoor on Set
Kiara Advani shares her experience of waiting for Shahid Kapoor on the set of Kabir Singh and hints at a playful slap.
Mumbai, October 20 (Daily Kiran) : Kiara Advani recently opened up about a surprising moment while filming “Kabir Singh” with co-star Shahid Kapoor. During an appearance on the popular chat show “Koffee with Karan,” she revealed that she felt like slapping him after waiting for eight hours on set.
The lengthy delay was due to discussions about which shoes Shahid would wear for the next scene. Kiara recalled that it was her third or fourth day of shooting, and the wait tested her patience. Host Karan Johar agreed, humorously stating that he too would have considered a slap under similar circumstances.
“Kabir Singh,” released in 2019, was directed by Sandeep Reddy Vanga and produced under the banners of T-Series and Cine1 Studios. The film is a remake of Vanga’s Telugu hit “Arjun Reddy,” which starred Vijay Deverakonda.
On a personal note, Kiara is expecting her second child with husband Siddharth Malhotra. The couple announced their pregnancy on social media on October 7, sharing a heartwarming photo of their daughter, Saraaya, presenting them with a pair of ivory knitted shoes. They captioned the post, expressing their gratitude for being blessed with the “greatest gift.”
Kiara and Siddharth reportedly fell in love on the set of “Shershaah” and tied the knot in a lavish traditional ceremony in Rajasthan in February 2023. They welcomed their first child, a daughter, in June 2025.
