Karan Patel Opens Up on Joining Reality Show ‘The 50’ and Its Unique Appeal

Mumbai: Popular television actor Karan Patel is all set to join the upcoming reality show ‘The 50,’ generating excitement among his fans. Speaking exclusively to Daily Kiran, Karan revealed the reasons behind his decision to be part of the show and explained the key differences between ‘Bigg Boss’ and ‘The 50’ that changed his perspective.

Karan Patel shared, “Before participating in any reality show, I try to understand its purpose and concept. The format of ‘Bigg Boss’ is largely based on conflicts, arguments, and emotional turmoil, which I personally do not connect with. Constant fighting and a negative environment make me uncomfortable. That is why I have stayed away from such shows so far.”

On the other hand, Karan described his outlook towards ‘The 50’ as completely different. He said, “Although this show is competition-based, the contest here is not about fights or quarrels but about the mind. ‘The 50’ is a game of strategy, intelligence, and making the right decisions at the right time. Instead of personal accusations or unnecessary drama, it focuses more on thought and planning.”

He added, “This balance attracted me to the show. I believe this format will challenge my intellect and will not push me into any negative atmosphere. It is a platform where competition progresses with a spirit of sportsmanship.”

When asked how the audience will see him in ‘The 50,’ Karan said, “On TV, people have mostly seen me in serious, passionate, and sometimes aggressive roles, but in reality, I am not like that. In this show, viewers will get to see my calm, thoughtful, and patient side as well.”

Karan further explained, “I will not only devise my own strategies but also adapt according to the situation. This show is not just about speaking but also about understanding and learning. Reality shows reveal a person’s true layers, but I am not afraid of that.”

He confidently stated, “I have never lived my life behind a mask, so I am not scared of the camera. Viewers will witness my emotional and sensitive side, which perhaps has not been shown much before. Whatever happens, it will be genuine, whether good or bad.”

‘The 50’ is produced by Banijay Asia and is considered one of India’s biggest reality shows. It is set to stream soon on Hotstar and Colors TV.
