JD(U) Leaders Critique Indi Alliance, Call for Its Dissolution

JD(U) leaders express skepticism about the future of the Indi Alliance, suggesting it should be disbanded due to internal conflicts.

Mumbai, October 22 (Daily Kiran) : JD(U) leaders in Mumbai have voiced strong concerns regarding the future of the Indi Alliance and its implications for the upcoming Uttar Pradesh Assembly elections. They argue that the coalition lacks unity, with members only coming together when necessary and often opposing each other once their goals are achieved.

Rajeev Ranjan, the national spokesperson for JD(U), stated that the Indi Alliance should be dissolved. He questioned the rationale behind the coalition, emphasizing that its purpose has become increasingly unclear. Ranjan pointed out that the leaders within the alliance have frequently clashed, particularly during election cycles when they often find themselves at odds.

He highlighted the recent elections in West Bengal as an example, where Congress was opposed to the Trinamool Congress (TMC) but is now appearing together with them. He noted that the atmosphere during elections between the BJP and TMC was similarly contentious, reflecting a lack of genuine cooperation among these parties. Ranjan warned that if elections occur anywhere in India, similar conflicts will likely arise, questioning the effectiveness of a coalition that lacks consensus on key issues, leadership, and candidate selection.

Regarding seat distribution for the Uttar Pradesh elections, Ranjan remarked on Samajwadi Party leader Akhilesh Yadav’s misinterpretation of his party’s success in the Lok Sabha elections, where they secured 37 seats. He suggested that the public does not see any development in Yadav’s politics, only his political maneuvers. According to Ranjan, voters are increasingly aware of who is genuinely working for them.

He criticized Yadav for misleading the public by oscillating between various identities to gain support, asserting that the electorate has never taken such tactics seriously and will not do so in the future. Ranjan expressed confidence that under Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath’s leadership, the NDA is poised for success in the upcoming elections.

Shyam Rajak, the national general secretary of JD(U), added that the Indi Alliance is merely engaging in meetings without any meaningful agenda. He criticized the coalition members for being disconnected from the public, stating that those who distance themselves from the electorate will ultimately fall behind in politics.
