Ranchi, August 13: In the final match of Group C at the 135th Durand Cup, Jamshedpur FC delivered a stunning performance, defeating Indian Air Force FT 6-0. The match, held at Birsa Munda Stadium, showcased the incredible talent of 17-year-old Lomsangjuala, who scored a hat trick within just 25 minutes, alongside an impressive display from Aman CK.

This emphatic victory keeps Jamshedpur FC’s hopes of qualification alive. They have now secured the second position, following East Bengal FC, and their advancement to the quarter-finals will depend on the outcome of the last match in Group D, featuring Shillong Lajong against Langsning FC.

The Red Miners took the lead early in the fourth minute, thanks to a goal from Rainier Fernandes. After the break, Lomsangjuala netted two goals, with Aman adding a fourth for Jamshedpur. Lomsangjuala completed his hat trick in the 80th minute, and Ryan capped off the scoring with a sixth goal.

Jamshedpur FC quickly established dominance, scoring in the fourth minute. Aman CK made a brilliant run, penetrating the Air Force defense, and set up Rainier Fernandes, who converted the opportunity effortlessly.

Indian Air Force’s Umar Farooq received a yellow card for a late challenge in the 25th minute. Despite the hydration break, Jamshedpur maintained control, with Shibinraj Kuniyil making a fantastic save to deny a free-kick that was heading for the top corner. By half-time, Jamshedpur led 1-0.

The second half started slowly, with neither team creating clear chances in the first ten minutes. However, the introduction of 18-year-old Lomsangjuala changed the game. In the 55th minute, Aman CK showcased his skills again, advancing down the right flank and delivering a precise cross that Lomsangjuala calmly converted to double Jamshedpur’s lead.

The duo proved impossible for the Airmen to stop. In the 64th minute, Aman CK assisted Lomsangjuala once more, pushing the score to 3-0.

Indian Air Force faced further challenges, with substitute Amarnath receiving a booking in the 65th minute, while the Red Miners continued to dominate the match.

Aman CK finally got on the scoresheet in the 71st minute. Instead of shooting himself, Rainier Fernandes opted to pass to Aman, who turned inside the box and scored with his left foot.

In the 80th minute, Lomsangjuala completed his hat trick, with Aman CK providing yet another crucial assist. The winger delivered a superb cross that Lomsangjuala headed in from close range.

Jamshedpur did not slow down after the final hydration break. 17-year-old substitute Ryan scored the sixth goal in the 84th minute, receiving a pass from Lomsangjuala and striking the ball powerfully into the bottom corner. Shibinraj Kuniyil made several excellent saves in the second half, preventing further goals, but ultimately, Jamshedpur’s aggressive play proved too much for the Air Force.
