Jamnagars Transformation: Ambitious Projects Benefit Residents

Ahmedabad, April 28: Jamnagar, known as ‘Little Kashi’, is rapidly advancing towards modernization. Under the leadership of Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel, the state government is implementing several ambitious projects aimed at strengthening the city’s infrastructure, directly benefiting its residents.

The government is working to develop Jamnagar as a smart city and establish it as a major industrial hub for the future.

Local resident Divyaraj Singh Jadeja stated that numerous initiatives have been undertaken by the government over the past 30 years to enhance citizens’ amenities. The ‘Nal se Jal’ scheme has ensured that every household in newly developed areas has access to water. In comparison to other metropolitan areas, our city has seen significant development in the last three decades.

To align with smart city standards, the city is expanding roads and flyovers to ease traffic flow. Modern hospitals are being constructed to strengthen healthcare services. New pipelines are being laid for drinking water supply, and the sewage system is also being upgraded.

Municipal Commissioner D.N. Modi reported that various projects worth approximately ₹1,200 crores have been inaugurated and laid out under urban development in Jamnagar.

A flyover is currently under construction near Lalpur Chowkadi along the ring road surrounding Jamnagar. Similarly, another flyover is being built at Theba Chowkadi on Kalavad Road. Additionally, an auditorium is set to be constructed in the city, accommodating 1,250 people for various events, along with a large sports complex.

Considering the growing population, the Gujarat government has prepared a long-term roadmap for Jamnagar for the next 25 years. Continuous funding is being allocated for the smart city project, while the administration is actively working to complete projects within the set timelines. Through government initiatives, administrative efforts, and public participation, Jamnagar is establishing a new identity as a developed and modern city.
