Tel Aviv, March 24: In a significant development, Israeli officials have reaffirmed their commitment to Operation Roaring Lion, despite escalating tensions with Iran. The announcement follows U.S. President Donald Trump’s decision to delay potential strikes on Iranian energy facilities for five days, a claim Iran has dismissed as fake news.
The Israeli Foreign Ministry has released a video asserting that there is no intention to abandon the operation halfway. Deputy Minister Sharren Haskel emphasized that this is a fight for the nation’s existence, and every effort will be made to protect it.
In the video posted on social media platform X, Haskel addressed recent attacks by Iran on the Israeli cities of Arad and Dimona. She characterized these actions as a deliberate targeting of civilians.
Haskel stated that Iran’s use of ballistic missiles in residential areas is unacceptable and constitutes a direct threat to innocent lives. She acknowledged that the air defense systems failed to intercept one missile, which landed in a populated area, resulting in injuries to children and families.
“This is not merely provocation; it is a calculated act of terrorism,” Haskel declared. “This is not war; it is a war crime.”
Israel views the incident in Arad as a serious violation, asserting that Iran has crossed a “red line.” The response, according to officials, will be clear, decisive, and unwavering. “Operation Roaring Lion cannot be halted or weakened; it must not be stopped halfway. Israel will respond with full force,” Haskel asserted.
She added that the Iranian regime does not believe in cooperative progress but seeks destruction. While Israel does not desire war, it will take necessary actions to end the conflict. This battle is not only for Israel but for all those who wish to live freely, away from the shadow of terror. The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) will deliver a strong response.
It is noteworthy that on February 28, Israel conducted airstrikes against Iran in collaboration with the United States, an operation dubbed “Roaring Lion” by Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.
