New Delhi, May 3: Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has asserted that Israel is stronger than ever and must stay ahead of its adversaries. To enhance its military capabilities, the country is bolstering its air force with modern F-35 and F-15IA fighter jets. Additionally, there is a rapid increase in domestic production and technological self-reliance in the defense sector.
In his recent statement, Netanyahu emphasized the importance of strengthening the nation’s military power and self-sufficiency. He revealed that Israel is acquiring two squadrons of advanced fighter jets, the F-35 and F-15IA, which significantly enhance Israel’s formidable air power. This strength was demonstrated during ‘Operation Rising Lion’ and is evident in the ongoing ‘Operation Roaring Lion.’ Our pilots can reach anywhere in Iranian airspace and are prepared for any situation. We possess excellent aircraft and outstanding pilots.
Regarding self-reliance, Netanyahu stated that he has directed investments to increase the country’s capacity to manufacture weapons domestically. Over the next decade, we will add 350 billion NIS to the defense budget to ensure these weapons are produced in Israel, reducing our dependence on foreign countries. We will also develop new and advanced aircraft made in Israel, which will transform the entire situation.
On the topic of drones, Netanyahu mentioned that a few weeks ago, he ordered the initiation of a special project to address drone threats. He is set to receive a progress report today. Although it will take time, we are actively working on it. We will maintain Israel’s edge and strength in every area. Israel is now stronger than ever, and it must always be significantly more powerful than our enemies.
Meanwhile, the conflict with Hezbollah continues. Just this past Saturday, the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) targeted nearly 120 Hezbollah positions. According to the IDF, its forces conducted airstrikes on multiple sites and eliminated active terrorists in southern Lebanon. These attacks destroyed approximately 70 military-use buildings and around 50 Hezbollah structures located in various areas.
