Israel Claims Major Strikes on Tehrans Military Infrastructure

New Delhi, March 9: The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) have announced a significant wave of attacks on Tehran, the capital of Iran. According to the IDF, these locations were crucial centers linked to the Iranian regime’s security and military operations.

On the social media platform X, the IDF reported that the latest wave of strikes in Tehran has been completed. The operation targeted approximately 50 ammunition bunkers, a Basij base, an internal security command center, and a compound belonging to the IRGC’s ground forces.

The IDF stated that the internal security forces and the Basij base are part of Iran’s armed forces, which have been promoting terrorist activities for years. These forces are responsible for suppressing protests, making arrests, seizing transportation routes, and securing facilities.

Additionally, the IDF claimed that in the past 24 hours, multiple significant attacks have taken place in western and central Iran. During this period, missile launchers, defense systems, weapon storage centers, and other military infrastructure were targeted. This operation is part of “Operation Roaring Lion.”

According to the IDF, hundreds of strike missions have been completed by the Israeli Air Force during this operation.

Meanwhile, Iran’s relief organization, the Iranian Red Crescent Society (IRCS), reported that a large number of residential buildings have been destroyed due to the attacks by the U.S. and Israel. The organization stated that 9,669 civilian units have been completely destroyed so far. According to their data, 7,943 residential and 1,617 commercial buildings have suffered significant damage.

In a Telegram post, the agency advised people not to leave their homes during the rain following the explosions. If outside, they should seek shelter under concrete or metal roofs and avoid taking refuge under trees. If rain comes into contact with the skin, it should not be rubbed, and only cold water should be used to wash the affected area.

Israel has maintained an aggressive stance towards Iran, particularly regarding the successor to Ayatollah Khamenei. On Sunday, the Israeli military issued a warning in Persian on the social media platform X, stating that Israel would target anyone involved in the process of selecting or appointing Khamenei’s successor.

Following the incapacitation of Khamenei, Iran’s regime is attempting to reorganize itself and choose a new leader. However, Israel’s reach will extend to every successor and anyone attempting to appoint a new leader.
