Irans Drones Used Against Themselves: Insights from Admiral Bradley Cooper

Washington, April 17: The United States has reported a significant increase in the use of artificial intelligence (AI) and advanced technologies in its military operations against Iran. This shift indicates a transformation in modern warfare tactics.

Admiral Bradley Cooper, commander of the U.S. Central Command, stated that AI tools are being utilized to process vast amounts of combat-related information and facilitate decision-making.

During a Pentagon briefing, he remarked, “I have met with teams that use AI daily to sift through large volumes of data and make swift decisions.”

Cooper emphasized that human oversight remains integral to all these processes, ensuring that personnel are always involved.

He made this announcement alongside Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth and Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, Air Force General Dan Kearney, discussing recent military actions and the current ceasefire status.

These remarks come in the wake of a recent rapid military operation dubbed “Operation Epic Fury,” which led to a temporary halt in hostilities, according to U.S. officials.

In addition to AI, Cooper mentioned the use of cyber operations, space-based systems, and unmanned aerial vehicles (drones), although he refrained from sharing operational specifics.

He noted, “I’ve met with our Space Force and cyber experts, whose work cannot be publicly disclosed, but their contributions are crucial.”

Cooper also revealed that enemy technology has been repurposed, including drones manufactured in Iran. He explained, “These were originally Iranian-designed drones… We brought them to the U.S., modified their components, labeled them ‘Made in America,’ and then used them against Iran.”

Officials indicate that the integration of these technologies is part of a broader strategy aimed at making battlefield decisions more rapid and operations more effective.

While large-scale combat is currently on hold, the U.S. military remains vigilant. Cooper stated that during this ceasefire, troops are enhancing their capabilities. “We are rearming, improving our systems, and adjusting our strategies.”
