New Delhi, February 28: Explosions are echoing across various countries in the Middle East. Israel, in collaboration with the United States, has launched Operation ‘Roaring Lion’ against Iran. Meanwhile, Iran continues its offensive actions. Amidst this turmoil, the Houthi rebels are preparing to attack Israel in support of Iran.
According to the Times of Israel, Iranian-backed Houthis in Yemen have decided to resume missile and drone strikes targeting shipping routes and Israel. This information comes from two senior Houthi officials who spoke on the condition of anonymity. Currently, no official statement has been released by the Houthis regarding these plans.
The Israeli war room reported, “Missile attacks are being launched on Israel, Qatar, Bahrain, UAE, and Saudi Arabia by the IRGC terrorist regime.”
As per information shared by Al Jazeera, explosions have been heard in Abu Dhabi, Manama, Bahrain, and Kuwait. Bahrain has confirmed that the attacks targeted sites and facilities, which is a blatant violation of the country’s sovereignty and security.
Qatar’s news agency reported that these attacks pose a direct threat to Bahrain’s security and the safety of its citizens and residents. According to the UAE news agency, at least one person has died after several missiles launched from Iran were intercepted in the UAE capital, Abu Dhabi.
The UAE stated, “This attack is a clear violation of the country’s sovereignty and international law. It has the full right to respond to this escalating tension.”
In Abu Dhabi, shrapnel fell on a residential area, causing some property damage and resulting in the death of an Asian national. The UAE Ministry strongly condemned the attack, emphasizing that the government completely rejects targeting civilians, facilities, and national institutions. Such actions are dangerously escalating and cowardly, threatening the safety and stability of the general public.
A statement from the UAE government asserted, “The ministry emphasized that targeting is a blatant violation of national sovereignty and international law, and the government has the full right to respond to this growing incident and take all necessary measures to protect its territory. It is fully prepared to address any threats.”
Jordan has confirmed the interception of two ballistic missiles. According to the country’s military, two ballistic missiles were shot down over Jordan. However, it remains unclear who launched the missiles.
