
Ahmedabad, June 1: Bollywood stars Varun Dhawan, Pooja Hegde, and Mrunal Thakur graced the IPL 2026 final at Narendra Modi Stadium, where the Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) faced off against the Gujarat Titans (GT). The event featured stunning fireworks that lit up the night sky.
Videos of the stars arriving at Ahmedabad Airport quickly went viral on social media. Varun Dhawan interacted with fans and even danced with them at the airport. Pooja Hegde and Mrunal Thakur were also spotted arriving in the city.
The trio is promoting their upcoming film “Hai Jawaani Toh Ishq Hona Hai.” This tournament annually attracts large crowds and celebrities, making their presence even more exciting.
The appearance of these film stars heightened the excitement among fans during the IPL 2026 final.
Before the match and during the mid-innings, an exhilarating light show and captivating dance performances entertained the audience. After GT’s innings, a spectacular drone show lit up the sky, followed by fireworks during the mid-match, creating a breathtaking view above Narendra Modi Stadium.
In the first innings, GT batted first after losing the toss, scoring 155 runs for 8 wickets in 20 overs. Washington Sundar was the standout performer, bravely facing RCB’s bowlers and remaining unbeaten with 50 runs off 37 balls. His innings was crucial in helping GT reach a competitive total.
Other contributors included Sai Sudharsan with 12 runs, Gill with 10, Nishant Sindhu with 20 runs off 18 balls, Jos Buttler with 19 runs off 23 balls, Arshad Khan with 15 runs off 6 balls, Rahul Tewatia with 7 runs off 5 balls, and Rashid Khan with 7 runs off 3 balls.
