Investment Surge in India Linked to PM Modis Foreign Tours, Says Tarun Chugh

New Delhi, May 17: BJP General Secretary Tarun Chugh has sharply responded to Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann’s remarks questioning Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s foreign trips. Chugh emphasized that these tours are not for leisure but serve the interests of 1.4 billion Indians and the future of the nation. He stated that each of Modi’s trips brings billions in investment to India and creates millions of job opportunities.

Chugh criticized Mann, suggesting that those who waste public funds on luxury and misuse state aircraft have no moral authority to question the Prime Minister’s international engagements. He pointed out the escalating drug problem in Punjab, the rising farmer suicides, and the deteriorating law and order situation, arguing that Mann is more focused on political rhetoric than addressing these pressing issues.

He asserted that PM Modi is transforming challenges into opportunities for the country, while the opposition is merely making excuses. Mann had previously mocked Modi’s six-day international trip, asking, “Why doesn’t the Prime Minister work from home?”

Chugh also targeted the Congress and opposition regarding issues of Pakistan and terrorism. He stated that under Modi’s leadership, ‘New India’ believes in decisive action against terrorism, not just filing reports. He noted that the Indian Army has been given full autonomy to make decisions for national security, instilling fear in enemy nations regarding India’s military strength. He referenced the Army Chief’s warning that India now responds to every terrorist attack in a manner that Pakistan understands.

Additionally, BJP leader T.R. Srinivas in Hyderabad remarked that PM Modi delivered a significant message during his five-day foreign tour. He warned that if the ongoing war and global tensions do not cease soon, the world could face severe crises related to supply chains, food security, and energy security. Srinivas highlighted that Modi’s message is profound and has far-reaching implications that the world is taking seriously.
