Kolkata, March 3: Due to ongoing tensions in the Middle East, several international flights have been canceled at Kolkata Airport on Tuesday. The Airport Authority has advised passengers to check their flight timings and operational updates before heading to the airport.
According to the Airport Authority of India (AAI), a total of five arrival and five departure flights have been canceled today. This decision was made primarily for safety and operational reasons. To minimize inconvenience, the Airport Authority has already informed all affected passengers.
Reports indicate that two flights from Emirates arriving from Dubai and two flights departing to Dubai have been canceled. Additionally, Qatar Airways had to cancel one arrival and one departure flight related to Doha. Furthermore, one flight each from Etihad Airways and Air Arabia, arriving from and departing to Abu Dhabi, has also been canceled.
Passengers are advised to check their flight status in advance and contact their airlines. The AAI has stated that all necessary arrangements have been made for passenger convenience, and airport staff will be available at all times for any additional assistance.
