This was the fourth edition of the India-Sri Lanka DiveX exercise, which took place in Colombo from April 21 to 28, 2026. The Indian Navy reported that the exercise involved the special vessel INS Inspector, known for deep-sea diving and submarine rescue operations.
Additionally, diving teams from both countries participated in the exercise. This training focused on complex underwater operations, including advanced deep-sea diving and mixed gas diving techniques, practiced in both port and open sea environments. Notably, naval divers conducted exercises near the wrecks of World War II ships SS Worcester and SS Perseus.
