The Hague, May 16: During Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visit to the Netherlands, the Indian diaspora and local artists warmly welcomed him in The Hague. Following their meeting with PM Modi, the excitement among the attendees was palpable. Members of the Indian community expressed their enthusiasm by singing Bhojpuri songs and chanting slogans.
The Indian expatriates sang the Bhojpuri song “Ae Raja Ji, Ekre Ta Rahal Ha Zaroor, Muhurt Khubsurat Ho” during their interaction. The venue echoed with chants like “Har Har Modi, Ghar Ghar Modi” and “Desh Ka Neta Kaisa Ho, Modi Ji Jaisa Ho.”
Artists from the Netherlands also showcased performances related to Indian culture. One artist, after presenting a devotional song dedicated to Lord Ram, remarked, “We performed a beautiful Ram bhajan. It was a great honor to present in front of PM Modi. Seeing the sparkle in his eyes was truly delightful, and performing for him felt like a blessing.”
Another artist shared, “This was a unique experience. Performing in front of one of the world’s leading leaders, PM Modi, is a tremendous honor for me.”
Classical artists also expressed their joy, stating that performing in front of Prime Minister Modi in the Netherlands was a ‘blessed moment.’ They thanked the Indian embassy for allowing them to be part of this historic occasion.
