Indian Army Denies Claims of General Dheeraj Seths Removal, Labels Them as Pakistani Propaganda
The Indian Army has dismissed false claims about General Dheeraj Seths removal as propaganda from Pakistan, urging verification of information.

New Delhi, October 14 (Daily Kiran) : The Indian Army has refuted misleading claims circulating on social media regarding the alleged removal of Army Chief General Dheeraj Seth. According to the Army, certain pro-Pakistan social media accounts are spreading false information. These posts suggest that Prime Minister Narendra Modi is planning to dismiss General Seth due to a purported statement against the Chief Election Commissioner. The Army has categorically denied these rumors, labeling them as propaganda.
Additionally, the social media posts claim that officers have been instructed not to follow the Army Chief’s orders. The Army clarified that these assertions are entirely baseless and rooted in falsehoods. A fact-check message from the Indian Army states that these claims are fabricated and are part of a disinformation campaign against the military. The Army emphasized that such misleading content aims to spread incorrect information about military leadership and create a false perception of discord within the ranks.
The Army has also alerted the Ministry of Information Technology about the accounts involved, specifically mentioning handles like IndianTiwari01 and DikshaSharma03. These accounts are accused of disseminating misleading allegations about India’s political and military leadership. The Army has warned the public against believing and spreading unverified political accusations and fabricated claims regarding military orders and internal disagreements.
The Army’s clear message is to verify any information before sharing it. It is essential to confirm news circulating on social media through official sources rather than relying solely on rumors.
Recently, a similar document related to the Indian Army was found to be completely fake in a fact-check. The Army confirmed that the document falsely claimed the removal of Lieutenant General Balbir Singh, the General Officer Commanding of the 15th Corps, ordering him to report to headquarters immediately. This misinformation was also propagated by pro-Pakistan social media platforms.
According to the Indian Army, certain propaganda accounts attempted to link this fake document to a supposed press conference by a Pakistani military official. They aimed to create an atmosphere suggesting that Lieutenant General Balbir Singh was removed from command following the press briefing. However, this assertion was entirely unfounded.
