
Durga, June 15: On the occasion of the NDA government’s 12 years under Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Chhattisgarh’s Deputy Chief Minister and Home Minister Vijay Sharma addressed a press conference at the Circuit House in Durga on Sunday. He highlighted the achievements of the Modi government, stating that India has made remarkable progress in development, governance, security, and national pride over the past 12 years.
Deputy Chief Minister Vijay Sharma noted that Prime Minister Narendra Modi has become one of the longest-serving leaders elected democratically in the country. The Modi government has set new standards in nation-building, preserving cultural values, strengthening national self-respect, and enhancing both internal and external security.
Regarding security in Naxal-affected areas, Sharma mentioned that previously, PRD personnel lacked adequate weapons. After discussions with the Union Home Minister, the supply of necessary arms and resources commenced within a month. Modern technology and improved equipment have also been provided to the forces, enhancing their operational efficiency.
On the law and order situation in the state, Vijay Sharma stated that under Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai’s leadership, good governance has been established. He assured that anyone violating the law would face action, emphasizing that the government would not hesitate to take steps according to the law.
While discussing the achievements of the Swachh Bharat Mission, the Deputy Chief Minister mentioned that nearly 120 million individual household toilets have been constructed across the country. Additionally, over 25 million community toilets have been built. The government has played a crucial role in transforming the cleanliness campaign into a people’s movement.
When asked about his potential role in the West Bengal Assembly elections, Vijay Sharma described himself as a simple and disciplined worker of the BJP. He expressed his commitment to fulfilling any responsibilities assigned by the organization with utmost dedication.
He added that the BJP has strengthened its organization in West Bengal, and without such efforts, the political and social conditions there could have been even more challenging.
