New Delhi, March 4: In response to escalating attacks on Iran by the United States and Israel, India has set up a special control room in New Delhi to assist its citizens. The Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) announced this development on Wednesday.
MEA spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal shared the news on the social media platform ‘X’, stating, “Given the current situation in West Asia and the Gulf region, a special control room has been established in the Ministry of External Affairs.”
According to the MEA, the control room will operate from 9 AM to 9 PM Indian Standard Time. Citizens can reach out via the toll-free number 1800118797 or landline numbers +91-11-23012113, +91-11-23014104, and +91-11-23017905.

It is noteworthy that the U.S. and Israel have jointly taken action against Iran, resulting in the deaths of several key leaders and military officials, including Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei. In retaliation, Iran has targeted U.S. bases in several countries, including Bahrain, Kuwait, and the United Arab Emirates.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi has expressed concern over the situation in the Middle East. He stated on Monday that India will continue to work with all countries in the region to ensure the safety of its citizens. PM Modi emphasized, “India’s stance on ongoing tensions worldwide is clear. We have always called for maintaining peace and stability, and when two democracies stand together, the voice for peace becomes stronger.”
