
Mumbai, February 8: The Indian cricket team has officially kicked off its campaign in the T20 World Cup 2026. India played its first group stage match against the USA at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai, securing a victory by 29 runs. Prior to the India-USA match, former Indian captain Rohit Sharma entered the field with the World Cup trophy, accompanied by ICC President Jay Shah, as they unveiled the trophy.
