India Achieves Milestone with 110 Million Farmer IDs Ahead of Schedule
India has successfully created 110 million Farmer IDs, five months ahead of the target set by Prime Minister Modi, marking a historic achievement for agriculture.

Bhopal, October 24 (Daily Kiran) : The Indian government has reached a significant milestone by creating 110 million Farmer IDs, well ahead of the March 2027 deadline set by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Agriculture Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan announced this achievement, calling it a historic day for Indian agriculture and farmers.
Chouhan emphasized the importance of modern technology in enhancing agricultural productivity and farmer prosperity. He noted that various initiatives under Modi’s leadership are designed to support farmers across the nation. To ensure these benefits reach the right individuals promptly, the Digital Agriculture Mission was established, which aims to provide every farmer with a unique identity through the Farmer ID system.
The minister explained that the creation of these IDs not only streamlines access to government schemes but also simplifies processes such as obtaining bank loans, crop insurance, and disaster relief funds. With the new Farmer IDs in place, farmers will no longer need to present multiple documents for various services.
Chouhan praised the achievement, recognizing the efforts of officials from the central and state governments, as well as district administrations. He extended congratulations to farmers, encouraging them to utilize their new identities to access benefits without hassle and to embrace technology for improved farming practices.
