Honor X80i Spec Leak Reveals Impressive Features Ahead of Launch

Mumbai, March 30: Honor is poised to enhance its mid-range smartphone lineup with the upcoming X80i. Recent leaks from Chinese tipsters on Weibo provide a comprehensive overview of the device, despite the company’s lack of official confirmation.

The Honor X80i is expected to feature a 6.6-inch flat OLED display with a 1.5K resolution. Notably, the phone is rumored to boast a peak brightness of 6,500 nits, a significant increase from the 3,500 nits of last year’s X70i. The device is anticipated to maintain a slim profile at 7.34mm and weigh approximately 185g, which is impressive given its battery size.

Speaking of the battery, the X80i is likely to include a 7,000mAh battery, with a rated capacity of around 6,800mAh listed on TENAA. Charging is expected to be capped at 45W, which, while not the fastest, seems reasonable considering the battery capacity.

Performance will be powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 7100, with some reports indicating a Dimensity 7050 variant for select markets. This chipset should suffice for everyday tasks, light gaming, and general multitasking without issues.

The camera setup appears straightforward, featuring a dual rear system with either a 108MP or 50MP main sensor, depending on the version, paired with a 5MP secondary camera. On the front, an 8MP shooter is expected. While the camera specifications are not particularly ambitious, they align well with the phone’s target market.

Additional features include an in-display fingerprint sensor, a metal frame for a more premium feel, and an AI shortcut button.

While pricing and an exact launch date remain unannounced, early details suggest that the Honor X80i is shaping up to be a battery-centric mid-range smartphone with a strong focus on display quality.
