Udaipur : Hindustan Zinc’s Kayad Mine was awarded the prestigious ‘5 Star Rated Award’ by the Indian Bureau of Mines under the aegis of Ministry of Mines. As part of Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav, the Ministry of Mines organized the 6th National Conclave on Mines and Minerals on 12th July 2022 in New Delhi where the mine was recognized.

Hindustan Zinc’s Kayad lead & Zinc Mine received the prestigious 5-star Rating Award for its exemplary performance in the implementation of sustainable development framework during 2020-21 assessed under five-star rating system.

The Award was received by Mr. K.C Meena-SBU Director, Kayad Mine and Mr. Vijendra Kashyap-Head Geology, Kayad Mine in the presence of Amit Shah-Honorable Union Home Minister, Prahlad Jhoshi-Union Minister of Mines, Coal & Parliamentary Affairs, Raosaheb Patil Danve-Minister of State for Mines, Coal and Railways and other dignitaries.

On this occasion Mr. Arun Misra, CEO, Hindustan Zinc said, “As a leader in sustainable operations, we at Hindustan Zinc is proud to receive this 5 Star rating from the Ministry of Mines and Government of India for our Kayad Mine.
