Himachal school girls to receive combat training

Hamirpur (HP), March 4 : Girl students of classes 6 to 12 in Himachal Pradesh’s Hamirpur district will start receiving unarmed combat training from Saturday, an official said. The UAC training will make them self-reliant, confident and they will be able to protect themselves and others, said Akriti Sharma, the District police chief of Hamirpur. “In the first batch we are imparting training to 1,055 girl students of 23 schools of this district and 12 instructors have been put on duty, said the SP. The SP said that such training programs would also be organized in other educational institutions of the district in a phased manner under the women empowerment programme. CSS ING
