After losing the toss, South Africa batted first and posted 194 for 9 in 20 overs. In reply, Pakistan’s batting collapsed as they were bowled out for 139 runs.

Hendricks gave South Africa a solid start, adding quick runs with Quinton de Kock (23 off 13). On debut, Tony de Zorzi impressed with 33 runs off 16 balls, while George Linde added a valuable 36 off 22 balls. For Pakistan, Mohammad Nawaz was the standout bowler, taking 3 wickets for 26 runs in his four overs.

Chasing 195, Pakistan stumbled early and never recovered. Saim Ayub top-scored with 37 off 28, but the rest of the batting lineup failed to build partnerships. Captain Babar Azam, returning to T20Is for the first time since December last year, was dismissed for a two-ball duck, caught by Hendricks off Bosch.

Alongside his batting heroics, George Linde also impressed with the ball, claiming 3 wickets for 31 runs in 4 overs.

The second T20I of the series will be played in Lahore on Friday, followed by the third and final match on Saturday at the same venue.
