Helly Shah Advocates for Savings and Smart Investments Amid Global Crisis

Mumbai, June 15: Recently, actress Helly Shah, known for her remarkable performance in the fifth season of the OTT show ‘Gullak,’ shared her insights on the importance of saving money amidst global conflicts. These events have also impacted the global oil trade.

In a conversation, she echoed the Prime Minister’s appeal, advising people against purchasing gold.

She stated, “My relationship with ‘Gullak’ is tied to my childhood. It holds significant emotional value in our lives. Saving money is crucial, and having the right information is equally important. One should invest wisely, avoiding gold and focusing on mutual funds. My father taught me the value of saving money.”

Helly further explained, “I don’t think my father ever sat me down to teach me; I learned these habits by observing him. Understanding how much to invest in fixed deposits versus mutual funds is knowledge I developed myself. It’s essential to manage your expenses wisely and show prudence in saving money, as it is very important.”

During the interview, she also discussed her transition from television to OTT platforms and how she navigated this journey. She believes that for artists moving from television to other mediums, the biggest challenge is breaking free from established perceptions.

Having built a strong fan following through television, Helly acknowledged that many artists are still viewed through the lens of the “TV actress” label, despite working in new formats. However, she believes that with the right opportunities and consistent performances, public perceptions can gradually change.

She remarked, “My first challenge was to step out of that category and enter a space that was not comfortable for me, where I had no prior knowledge, and where people did not know me. OTT became that space for me.”
