Kolkata, March 10: Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini visited Kolkata on Tuesday, launching a sharp critique against the ruling government of West Bengal. He accused the state administration of undermining democracy and failing to respect constitutional institutions.
In a conversation with reporters, Saini claimed that Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee is crushing democratic values. “Democracy no longer exists in Bengal. The Constitution is being violated, and constitutional positions are being disrespected. The people of Bengal have decided that a government under Modi will be established here in the future,” he stated.
Saini also targeted the Congress party and Banerjee’s Trinamool Congress, alleging that these parties do not trust the country’s constitutional institutions. He criticized the state government for its disrespectful behavior towards President Droupadi Murmu during her recent visit for a tribal community event, noting that the government changed the program at the last minute. He called this shameful and contrary to democratic values, highlighting the mindset of the state government.
Additionally, Saini raised concerns about the law and order situation and industrial status in West Bengal. He pointed out that industries are fleeing the state and that the rule of law has weakened. “The people of the state want change. They desire that Bengal progresses with the goal of a ‘Developed India,’ attracting industries, providing jobs for youth, ensuring women’s safety, and making farmers prosperous,” he remarked.
He concluded by asserting that the people are poised to establish a BJP government, emphasizing that everyone knows which party can drive their development.
During this visit, Bihar’s Deputy Chief Minister Vijay Kumar Sinha will also be in West Bengal for the conclusion of the Parivartan Yatra, addressing a public meeting in the Chandrakona assembly constituency.
