
Ahmedabad, March 27: Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel participated in the Ram Navami festival held at Nehru Park in Ahmedabad on Thursday. He paid homage to Lord Shri Ram and offered his prayers. This festival is being celebrated across Gujarat.
During the festivities, Chief Minister Patel also took part in a devotional cultural program and extended his best wishes to the citizens present for the occasion of Ram Navami.
Local MLA Amit Thakkar, officials from the Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation, and other local leaders were also in attendance.
In Surat, Deputy Chief Minister Harsh Sanghvi visited the Ambika Niketan temple with his son, where he prayed and conveyed his wishes to the people of the state.
While extending greetings for the festival, Sanghvi expressed heartfelt wishes to all citizens on the occasion of Ram Navami. He prayed for the happiness and fulfillment of dreams for everyone.
Processions were also organized in various parts of Gujarat.
In Vadodara, a grand procession of Lord Shri Ramchandra Ji was taken out from Kumbharwada, continuing a long-standing tradition.
In Morbi, the Ram Navami procession began from Maharana Pratap Circle and passed through the main streets of the city, with local residents participating actively.
A massive procession, stretching approximately 15 to 16 kilometers, was held in the Isanpur area of Ahmedabad, featuring 80 to 85 tableaux and attended by hundreds of devotees.
Members of the transgender community also actively participated in this procession, which was filled with chanting and devotional activities throughout the route.
Senior ministers of the state, including Jitu Vaghani, Rishikesh Patel, and Pradyuman Vaja, also extended their wishes on this auspicious occasion.
Across the state, temples held darshan, cultural programs, and public processions, with citizens from various cities joining in the celebrations.
Local police ensured security in sensitive areas.
