Greater Noida Authority Takes Action Against Illegal Construction in Flood Zone

New Delhi, March 13: The Greater Noida Authority has taken decisive action against illegal constructions in flood-prone areas of Uttar Pradesh. On Friday, the authority’s team launched an operation in the villages of Amka and Bisrakh, freeing approximately 15,000 square meters of land from encroachment. The estimated value of this land is around 30 crore rupees.

During the operation, several illegal structures built in the flood zone were demolished. This initiative was directed by CEO N.G. Ravi Kumar of the Greater Noida Authority. The team responded to reports of illegal encroachments and constructions on land parcels numbered 295, 296, 297, 298, and 299 in Amka village. Some colonizers were attempting to illegally plot and develop colonies in the flood zone. The authority’s team used bulldozers to demolish the illegal constructions and reclaim the entire area.

The operation was led by Narottam Chaudhary, Senior Manager of the authority’s project department, along with Manager Rohit Gupta and the team from Work Circle-2. The action commenced around 2 PM and lasted for approximately two hours.

The team successfully cleared the entire area of encroachments. Additionally, actions were taken against constructions in the flood area of Bisrakh. The team led by Prabhat Shankar, in charge of Work Circle-3, and Manager Prashant Samadhiya demolished three under-construction houses on-site. Security personnel from the authority were also deployed to maintain order during the operation.

Sumit Yadav, the Deputy CEO of the Greater Noida Authority, stated that no illegal constructions are permitted in the notified area. He warned that strict action will be taken against anyone who unlawfully occupies land or develops illegal colonies.

He urged people to obtain complete information from the authority before purchasing any land in Greater Noida. He also cautioned that investing in illegal colonies could be detrimental, emphasizing the importance of verifying land legality before committing hard-earned money. The authority has made it clear that similar actions against illegal encroachments and constructions will continue in the future.
