Gandhinagar, April 9: The Gujarat Public Service Commission (GPSC) has officially announced the recruitment for various positions, including Deputy Commissioner, totaling 213 vacancies. The online application process commenced on April 2 and will close on April 16. Candidates preparing for government jobs who meet the eligibility criteria can submit their application forms on the official website before the deadline.

The 213 positions available for application include six posts in the Gujarat Administrative Service (Junior Scale), one in the Prohibition and Excise Department, eight Deputy Police Superintendent (Unarmed) roles, five Deputy Commissioner (Kutch Industry) positions, 13 Government Labor Officers, seven Assistant District Registrars (Cooperative Societies), 11 Prohibition and Excise Superintendents, 11 Social Welfare Officers (Development), six Assistant Directors (Food and Civil Supplies), four Assistant Information Officers (Administration), six Municipal Chief Officers, two Assistant Commissioners (Tribal Development), 20 Assistant Commissioners (Kutch Industry Service), 30 Taluka Development Officers, 20 District Land Records Inspectors, seven Tribal Development Officers, 25 Mamlatdars, 25 Section Officers (Secretariat), and one Section Officer (Gujarat Public Service Commission).

Candidates applying must possess at least a graduation degree from a recognized institution or university. Additionally, they must meet other specified eligibility criteria and skills.

The minimum age for applicants is set at 20 years, while the maximum age is 35 years, calculated as of April 16. Candidates from reserved categories will receive age relaxation as per regulations.

Selection of eligible candidates will be based on a preliminary exam, mains exam, personal interview, and final merit list. Selected candidates will receive a monthly salary ranging from ₹44,900 to ₹1,77,500. The preliminary exam is tentatively scheduled for June 7, with the mains exam expected to take place between October 5 and 10.

When filling out the application form, candidates must pay the prescribed application fee online, which is ₹100 for the general category. SC/ST/SEBC/EWS candidates and persons with disabilities, as well as ex-servicemen from Gujarat, are exempt from the registration fee.

To apply online, candidates should first visit the official GPSC website. After reaching the homepage, they need to click on the active application link for the relevant position. Following this, they should register and log in. All required information must be entered into the form, and the necessary documents should be uploaded in the correct size. After paying the registration fee, candidates can submit the form. Finally, it is advisable to print and save the submitted application for future reference.
