Panaji, March 14 : Newly- elected MLA Ganesh Gaonkar took oath as protem speaker on Monday. The oath was administered by Governor P S Sreedharan Pillai at Raj Bhavan. Chief Minister Pramod Sawant among others was present on the occasion. Mr Gaonkar will administer oath of secrecy to other MLAs at legislative assembly on March 15, 2022. Assembly elections in Goa were held on February 14 and results were announced on March 10, 2022. Bharatiya Janata Party has emerged as the single largest party in the state but it is yet to stake claim to form government. Gaonkar represents Sanvordem constituency in the state assembly. AKM GNK
