Global Attention on Chinas 15th Five-Year Plan Amid Annual Sessions

Beijing, March 6: Currently, the annual sessions of the National People’s Congress (NPC) and the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC) are taking place in Beijing. Foreign media is focusing on these sessions, which mark the first year of China’s 15th Five-Year Plan.

On March 5, the NPC’s annual conference commenced, featuring a government work report presented by Premier Li Qiang. An article published that day on the Russian website “Radio Metro” highlighted that amid global economic upheaval and the restructuring of supply chains, China reaffirmed its openness to the outside world. The government work report proposed further advancing high-level openness, indicating that China will continue to promote globalization while placing greater emphasis on reliability and security.

Additionally, an article in the “Pakistan Observer” noted that China’s two sessions are a globally significant political event. The meetings set goals related to economic growth, industrial development, and trade exports. Key decisions and implementations in areas such as digital transformation, artificial intelligence innovation, and green and low-carbon transitions will have a profound impact on the global economic landscape.

Furthermore, the “Delovoy Kazakhstan” newspaper reported that China’s development focus is shifting from rapid growth to high-quality, sustainable development. China is developing a new technological ecosystem, opening new opportunities for Kazakhstan and other Central Asian countries, signaling the expansion of technical cooperation in various fields, including industrial projects, science, and education.

Media outlets from countries like Kenya and Kyrgyzstan are also closely monitoring the two sessions in China. A key aspect of these sessions has been the emphasis on stable and sustainable development. High-quality growth, technological innovation, and domestic consumption remain China’s ongoing priorities, reassuring global markets. The significance of China’s two sessions extends beyond political events; they will also have a considerable impact on the future economic paths of neighboring countries.
