Deoria : According to authorities, a 15-year-old girl was groped and assaulted by a teacher at a government school. The instructor has been suspended with immediate effect by the District Basic Education Officer, according to officials, who added that the girl attends the same school.
According to police, an FIR has been filed against the accused under relevant provisions, including the Protection of Children from Sexual Offenses Act.
According to Suroli Police Station Superintendent Sankalp Sharma, on October 25, the 30-year-old teacher assaulted a girl enrolled at the upper primary school. He said that when the victim objected, the accused assaulted and threatened her.
The child returned home and notified her family about the occurrence, after which a police and education department report was filed. He stated that a FIR has been filed against the accused under the Indian Penal Code and the POCSO Act for molesting, assaulting, and threatening.
Sharma stated that attempts are being made to apprehend the accused. According to an Education Department source, the accused has been suspended with immediate effect by the District Basic Education Officer.
