Four Arrested in Separate Shootouts in Uttar Pradeshs Muzaffarnagar and Hathras

Muzaffarnagar, September 16 (Daily Kiran) : In a series of incidents in Uttar Pradesh, police apprehended four suspects following shootouts in Muzaffarnagar and Hathras. The first encounter occurred on Wednesday morning in Muzaffarnagar’s Titawi area, where police confronted a gang involved in wire theft.

Authorities reported that the shootout began when the gang attempted to flee after being spotted by the police. The officers had received a tip-off and arrived at the scene just in time. As the suspects opened fire, police returned fire, injuring one suspect in the leg. He was later identified as Shah Nawaz and has been admitted to a local hospital for treatment.

Three additional suspects were apprehended at the scene, identified as Junaid, also known as Shah Rukh, Tahir, and Asif. The police seized two firearms, cartridges, two motorcycles, and two knives from the suspects. They also recovered over 1,000 kg of stolen wire, which was intended for transport to Delhi in a magic vehicle.

In a separate incident in Hathras, police arrested four more suspects during a shootout in the Nagla Imaliya area. This encounter stemmed from a previous incident where the main suspect, Arvind, and his accomplices had threatened residents and fired shots before fleeing.

When police received intelligence on the suspects’ movements, they set up a blockade. During the confrontation, Arvind was shot in the leg, while three others, Umesh Meena, Dinesh (also known as Dinna), and Sanjay, were arrested. Police recovered four firearms, cartridges, and two motorcycles from the suspects.

Investigations are ongoing as police seek to uncover more details about the suspects and their connections to other thefts in the region.
