First Batch of High-Quality Academic Journals Launched in Shanghai

Beijing, April 5: Academic journals serve as crucial platforms for scholars to publish research findings and facilitate academic exchange. They play a vital role in guiding scientific research and promoting the development of various subjects.

On April 3, Insight Press launched the first batch of high-quality academic journals, including “Quscience,” “Review of the Digital Economy,” and “Metascience Journal,” at an inauguration ceremony held in Shanghai, China. Professor Thomas Sudhof, a Nobel Prize winner in Physiology or Medicine in 2013 from Stanford University, attended the event.

Currently, the influence of Chinese academic journals has significantly increased. However, an imbalance between the quality of these journals and the rapidly growing scientific research output in China remains a challenge. The new initiative proposed by Insight Press relies on the scientific community to achieve co-creation of journals, academic governance, and sharing of results. This approach fully recognizes the primary value of scientists’ intellectual labor, ensuring that they are not only content providers but also the main beneficiaries of the journals.
