New Delhi, April 22: As summer arrives, maintaining balance in both mind and body becomes challenging. The external heat can disrupt the body’s internal temperature. Increased heat can lead to heightened anger and irritability throughout the day. Symptoms such as anger over trivial matters, restlessness, and discomfort may indicate an imbalance in the body’s heat levels. Therefore, it is crucial to keep this heat in check during the summer months.
According to Ayurveda, providing the body with cooling and relaxation can help soothe both mind and body. Resting during summer preserves energy and promotes a positive mindset. It is often advised to take naps during the day in the month of Jyeshtha. However, keeping the body cool from within is equally important to naturally balance heat levels. Here are some effective methods to reduce anger during the summer.
Reducing tea consumption is advisable, as it can increase body heat. Instead, opt for herbal teas. A blend of basil, rose petals, passionflower, and chamomile can be consumed twice daily. This combination helps balance hormones and reduces stress.
The ghee nasal therapy is another effective method to balance body heat. It reduces dryness and promotes calmness in both the brain and mind. For this, a few drops of ghee can be applied in the nostrils at night. This practice alleviates stress and calms the nervous system. Applying sandalwood paste is also a powerful remedy for soothing heat and anger.
Sandalwood has a cooling effect, and applying it to the forehead helps regulate body temperature and maintain mental tranquility. Additionally, massages with bhringraj or coconut oil can be beneficial. If individuals experience anger and restlessness during summer, massaging the soles of the feet and the head can provide relief.
