DGP Reviews Anti-Terror Operations in Jammu and Kashmir

Avanti Pora, March 7: The Director General of Police (DGP) of Jammu and Kashmir, Nalin Prabhat, conducted a comprehensive review of security arrangements, anti-terror operations, and law and order situations in Avanti Pora district on Saturday. During this meeting, he directed officials to intensify actions against terrorism, drug trafficking, and other criminal activities.

The review meeting took place at the District Police Office in Avanti Pora, attended by several senior police officials. Present alongside the DGP were Special DG Coordination SJM Gillani, IG Kashmir Zone VK Birdi, and DIG SKR Javid Iqbal Mattoo. Additionally, the meeting included SSP Avanti Pora, Additional SP Avanti Pora, all SDPOs, and DSPs from the Special Operations Group, among other senior officials.

During the meeting, DGP Nalin Prabhat thoroughly assessed the current security conditions in the district. He specifically discussed counter-terror operations, which encompass both kinetic and non-kinetic strategies.

Moreover, he reviewed the ongoing campaigns against drug-related activities and efforts to curb other criminal actions in the district. The DGP instructed officials to accelerate operations against anti-national elements, drug networks, and criminals. He emphasized the need for strict and effective actions against individuals involved in such illegal activities.

DGP Nalin Prabhat advised police officers to remain vigilant, disciplined, and proactive in their respective areas. He stressed that strong coordination, intelligence-based actions, and active policing are essential for maintaining peace and stability.

At the conclusion of the meeting, the DGP praised the efforts of the officers and personnel, urging police staff at all ranks to remain alert, disciplined, and dedicated to their mission.
