Devotees Flock to Jhande Wala Mata Temple on Fifth Day of Chaitra Navratri

New Delhi, March 23: The fifth day of Chaitra Navratri has seen an overwhelming influx of devotees at Jhande Wala Mata Temple. Since morning, the temple has been bustling with visitors eager to seek blessings from the goddess. The atmosphere is vibrant and filled with devotion. People are patiently waiting in line, enjoying a smooth experience as they make their way to the deity.

Priest Ambika Prasad Pant explained that this day is dedicated to Maa Durga’s fifth form, Skandamata. She is the mother of Lord Kartikeya and embodies love, compassion, and nurturing. Particularly, women desiring children worship her on this day, seeking her blessings for offspring.

The priest emphasized that true faith is essential for worship. While individuals may perform rituals according to their financial means, genuine devotion and belief are what truly please the goddess. He recited the mantra, “Ya Devi Sarvabhuteshu Shraddha Roopena Sansthita…” highlighting that inner feelings matter more than outward appearances.

One devotee shared their experience, noting the pleasant atmosphere and excellent arrangements that have made the visit hassle-free. They remarked on the beautiful decorations and the serene ambiance that brings peace to the mind.

Another devotee, who has been visiting the temple during Navratri since childhood, described the special morning vibe of each day. They feel that these days bring new energy and positivity into their lives, marking a fresh start with every Navratri.

After visiting the goddess, they expressed feeling lighter and happier, a sense of tranquility that is hard to articulate. This is why they never miss the opportunity to visit the temple during Navratri each year.
