Greater Noida, May 16: A chaotic scene unfolded last night at the Shahberi furniture market in Greater Noida West when a fire broke out in one of the shops. The blaze quickly escalated, engulfing several nearby stores. This incident occurred in the Bisrakh police jurisdiction.
Upon receiving the alert, police and fire department teams rushed to the scene. After several hours of joint rescue efforts, they managed to bring the fire under control. Preliminary investigations suggest that a short circuit may have caused the fire. Sparks from electrical wires in one furniture shop ignited the flames, which spread rapidly due to the abundance of furniture and wooden materials in the area.
The towering flames and thick smoke were visible from a distance, creating a panic-stricken atmosphere in the locality.
