Delhi Traffic Police Issues Advisory for International Film Festival 2026

New Delhi, March 24: The International Film Festival of Delhi (IFFD 2026) is set to take place from March 25 to March 31, 2026. This marks the Delhi government’s inaugural major international film festival, hosted at India Habitat Centre, Pragati Maidan. The festival will run daily from 10 AM to 10 PM. During this period, special traffic arrangements will be enforced on Mathura Road and Bhairon Road.

The traffic police have issued a clear warning that parking will be strictly prohibited on both roads. Vehicles parked incorrectly will be towed immediately, and fines will be imposed. Towed vehicles will be stored at the traffic pit located in front of Bhairon Temple on Bhairon Marg. Motorists should expect significant congestion on Mathura and Bhairon Roads during the event.

Delhi Traffic Police advises drivers to utilize the Ring Road and prioritize public transport options like the metro and buses. This is particularly important for travelers heading to the airport or railway stations, who should plan their journeys in advance.

Special arrangements have been made for general attendees. Entry and exit will be through Gate Number 4 (on Bhairon Marg) and Gate Number 10 (near the metro station). For parking, options include Basement Parking Number 1 (entrance from Bhairon Marg), Basement Parking Number 2 (entrance from Mathura Road), and surface parking available at Bhairon Temple and National Stadium.

The traffic police request all motorists to remain patient, adhere to traffic regulations, and respect the instructions of officers stationed at intersections. This will ensure a smooth and safe festival experience for everyone.

Real-time updates will be available on the official Delhi Police website and social media channels. A helpline number has also been issued for assistance.
