The operation was conducted by the NR-I unit of the Crime Branch, which has now reunited her with her family. A reward of ₹20,000 was announced for any information leading to her whereabouts.
This case is linked to the Alipur police station in Delhi. According to reports, the woman was reported missing on October 29, 2025. The investigation faced challenges due to a lack of solid leads for an extended period. Consequently, the Delhi Police declared a reward to encourage anyone with information to come forward.
The Crime Branch team, led by Inspector Ajay Gehlawat and supervised by ACP Ashok Sharma, played a crucial role in this operation. Key members included W/HC Kusum (No. 734/CR) and ASI Premveer (No. 1271/CR). Utilizing technical surveillance and thorough ground investigations, the team successfully located the woman in the Jharoda Majra area of Burari on March 3, 2026.
Upon her recovery, the woman informed the police that she had developed a friendship with a boy working at a call center in Pitampura. When her family discovered this relationship, they reprimanded her, leading to her decision to leave home without informing anyone. This incident was not a case of abduction or external crime but rather stemmed from family disputes and emotional pressure.
