New Delhi, October 11 (Daily Kiran) : In New Delhi, Minister Manjinder Singh Sirsa has taken aim at Congress leader Supriya Shrinate following her comments regarding Chief Minister Rekha Gupta. Shrinate had questioned Gupta’s post on social media platform X, prompting Sirsa to label her response as the “true face of Congress.”
On X, Sirsa wrote, “Supriya ji, calling the elected female Chief Minister of Delhi ‘mad’ and a ‘cheap troll’? This is the real face of Congress! Sonia Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi, where are your responses?” He criticized the party for allowing a spokesperson to insult a woman chief minister while promoting slogans like “I am a girl, I can fight.”
Sirsa continued, “Your associates have wreaked havoc on the streets, attacked the police, and now you defend the rioters as ‘the youth of the country.’ If any daughter has been mistreated, the guilty will be punished, regardless of their party affiliation. Stop advocating for rioters. Delhi is watching and will respond.”
Shrinate had posted on Saturday night, questioning Gupta’s gratitude towards the Delhi police amid allegations of violence against women. “Have you lost your mind? Have you seen the mistreatment of girls? What are you thanking the Delhi police for? For letting the monsters beat the youth?” she wrote, criticizing Gupta’s passive stance.
In her original post, Chief Minister Rekha Gupta described recent events in Delhi as “extremely unfortunate.” She accused Congress, AAP, Leftists, and CJP members of creating chaos in the name of protest. Gupta expressed gratitude to the police and security forces for maintaining order despite provocations.
Gupta further stated, “I thank the Delhi police personnel who maintained their composure and handled the situation responsibly, prioritizing the safety of citizens. We will ensure that there is no disruption to the safety and normal life of Delhi residents. The law will take its course firmly.”
Tensions within Delhi’s political landscape continue to rise as leaders from different parties engage in heated exchanges over recent incidents.
