Delhi Government Launches Major Infrastructure Projects to Enhance Basic Amenities

New Delhi, April 9: Under the leadership of Chief Minister Rekha Gupta, the Delhi government has taken a significant step towards strengthening the capital’s infrastructure. Cabinet Minister Manjinder Singh Sirsa inaugurated development projects worth ₹4.5 crore in the Rajouri Garden assembly constituency, including areas like Khayala and Vishnu Garden.

These projects encompass the expansion of drinking water supply lines, construction of a sewage network, development of new roads, drainage systems, toilet complexes, and enhancing greenery in parks. This initiative marks a substantial move to address the long-standing demands of local residents.

Minister Manjinder Singh Sirsa emphasized that strengthening basic amenities within Delhi is our top priority. The neglect experienced over the past years by previous governments is now being swiftly addressed. The former administration failed to undertake any infrastructure improvements, leading to issues of broken roads and disorganized structures. We are committed to rectifying these problems at their roots.

He detailed that the development works include the reconstruction of roads in Khayala village, road improvements in the Chokhandi area, expansion of sewage lines, and the construction of a major road along with its associated drainage system—demands that have been long awaited by local residents.

Furthermore, he stated that this year, the Delhi government is making maximum investments in infrastructure. The Rekha Gupta administration has initiated efforts with a provision of ₹32,000 crore to steer the capital in a new direction. This is just the beginning, and comprehensive development will be ensured throughout the entire assembly constituency.

Minister Sirsa stressed the necessity of new roads, improved drainage systems, and the expansion of green spaces to transform Delhi into a developed city. He remarked that until every neighborhood in Delhi is clean, organized, and modern, the dream of a developed India and a developed Delhi will remain unfulfilled. Our government is continuously working towards achieving this goal.
