
Varanasi, July 19: Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta arrived in Varanasi on Saturday for a two-day visit. A large gathering of BJP leaders and workers welcomed her at Lal Bahadur Shastri International Airport. This visit marks her first trip to Varanasi since taking office, and elaborate arrangements were made for her reception at the airport.
At the airport, Uttar Pradesh’s Minister of State (Independent Charge) Ravindra Jaiswal, BJP Kashi region president Ashok Chaurasia, district president Ram Sakal Patel, and city president Pradeep Agrahari welcomed Chief Minister Gupta with a ceremonial shawl and a bouquet. Several BJP officials, including Ayush Jaiswal, Shailesh Pandey, Uttam Ojha, and Vipin Singh, were also present to extend a warm welcome.
In a conversation with reporters at the airport, Chief Minister Rekha Gupta stated that she came to seek blessings from Baba Kashi Vishwanath for the prosperity and welfare of Delhi residents. She expressed her hope that Baba Bholenath’s grace would always be upon everyone and that the country would continue to progress.
At the main entrance of the airport, the BJP Mahila Morcha’s regional president Namrata Chaurasia led a traditional welcome for Chief Minister Gupta, presenting her with a trident as a mark of respect.
A significant number of female workers, including Aparajita Sonkar, Kusum Patel, Ayushi Shrimali, Vinita Singh, Sunita Singh, Surekha Singh, Pooja Dixit, and Pooja Pandey, were present to welcome her.
Outside the Varanasi airport, the BJP Mahila Morcha’s district president Vinita Singh also led a grand reception for Chief Minister Gupta. Many female officials and workers, including Kiran Mishra, Mamta Rai, Dr. Ahuti Singh, Sonia Jain, Savita Singh, Sudha Rani, Swati Mishra, and Sneha Srivastava, were in attendance.
