Counter-insurgency Ops increased to neutralise terrorists involved in killing innocents: JK DGP

Jammu, March 16 : Jammu and Kashmir Director General of Police Dilbag Singh on Wednesday said the security forces have increased counter-insurgency operations to neutralise the terrorists involved in the killing of innocent people. “During the last two weeks, the nefarious intent of Pakistan-supported terrorist agencies and their handlers in Jammu and Kashmir came to fore once again as innocent people were targeted,” the DGP said, while speaking to the media after declaring open the third edition of Shaheed Aman Memorial T20 Cricket Tournament at Chowgan Sports Ground in Kishtwar district. The DGP said, “The Jammu and Kashmir Police, along with other security forces, has increased and expanded the number of CI operations to neutralise the terrorists involved in the killing of innocent people. “For the safety of people and securing the lives of common people, stringent action is being taken. The Jammu and Kashmir Police is providing a number of platforms for the youth of J&K to hone their talent and provide an opport ty to show their talent to the world,” he added. VBH RJ
