Controversy Surrounds Dhurandhar 2 as AIMIM Leader Accuses Film of Targeting Muslims

Mumbai, March 19: The much-anticipated film ‘Dhurandhar 2,’ starring Ranveer Singh, has hit theaters and is receiving praise from audiences. Many viewers believe that despite its lengthy runtime, the film is engaging and does not feel boring at any point.

However, alongside the fanfare, the film has sparked controversy. Several political parties have voiced their opposition to it. AIMIM leader Waris Pathan stated that ‘Dhurandhar 2’ was created to defame Muslims. In a conversation in Mumbai, Pathan expressed his disdain for films that promote hatred, revealing that he has not even watched the first part of the series.

He claimed that such films are part of a conspiracy to tarnish the image of Muslims. Pathan emphasized that there are ongoing attempts to spread hatred in the country. He pointed out that previous propaganda films have also targeted specific communities. According to him, filmmakers are more interested in profit than the societal impact of their work, using cinema to propagate lies, hatred, and propaganda.

Waris Pathan stressed the importance of creating films that entertain while also reflecting truth, rather than those designed to target a particular group. He noted that previous films, such as Kerala-1 and Kerala-2, also targeted Muslims.

He questioned whether filmmakers lack good subjects to explore, leading them to create films like ‘Dhurandhar 2.’ Pathan urged that films promoting hatred should be banned immediately and appealed to the public to avoid watching such divisive content.
