Ayodhya, February 19: Maulana Arshad Madani, president of the Jamiat Ulema-e-Hind, has sparked controversy with his remarks regarding RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat’s statements on ‘Ghar Wapsi’ and population issues. Madani’s comments have drawn ire from various religious leaders, who deemed them condemnable and politically motivated, accusing him of inciting unrest.
Mahatma Deveshacharya Maharaj criticized Madani’s statements as foolish, stating, “Mohan Bhagwat has not coerced any individual or community; he welcomes those who wish to return voluntarily. There is no historical precedent for Muslims being forcibly converted to Hinduism. Those who wish to return will be welcomed with respect.”
He further remarked that Madani’s political rhetoric is both tragic and condemnable, claiming such statements spread discord rather than peace.
Similarly, Sitaram Das labeled Madani’s remarks as despicable and indicative of a hateful mindset. He questioned Madani’s sanity, suggesting that his views reflect a jihadist inclination. “If such individuals target nationalist leaders, the Indian populace will respond,” he asserted.
Das added that those who speak the language of Pakistan while residing in India are undermining the nation. He praised the RSS for its commitment to national unity and service, calling attacks on such figures despicable. He posed a provocative question: “Does Madani even have a seventh generation of Hindus? Despite ongoing violence in Islamic countries, Muslims live peacefully in India. The Hindu population is declining.”
Jagadguru Paramahans Acharya commented, “Madani has aged and forgotten the past. On Direct Action Day, August 16, 1946, many innocent Hindus were killed because Muslims did not want to coexist with them. In 1990, Hindus faced murder and atrocities in Kashmir, with edicts issued from mosques.”
He emphasized that Madani’s days are numbered, urging citizens to recognize the need to act against anti-humanity ideologies like those espoused by Madani to safeguard humanity.
