Congress Leader Rajesh Ram Criticizes Election Commission, Calls for Opposition Unity

New Delhi, October 7 (Daily Kiran) : Bihar Congress President Rajesh Ram has launched a strong critique of the Election Commission and Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar. Speaking in New Delhi, he emphasized that following the elections in November 2025, the opposition coalition, known as the India Alliance, is coming together with renewed vigor to address issues of alleged electoral fraud and misconduct.

At a recent meeting led by Rahul Gandhi, it was decided that this battle would be fought collectively across the nation. In line with this strategy, all constituent parties of the India Alliance plan to march towards the Raj Bhavan in Bihar on Thursday.

Ram stated that the meeting in Delhi reached a consensus on the need for a united front in this movement, which would continue at the party level. He expressed confidence that the coalition would effectively mobilize all partners to advance their cause.

He highlighted that the electoral process concluded in November 2025, marking the first time the opposition is uniting against issues surrounding the Election Commission and Gyanesh Kumar.

The Congress leader further criticized Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s governance, recalling significant events such as the demonetization announcement made late at night, which left many citizens struggling for their own money, and the government’s response during the COVID-19 pandemic, which he claimed resulted in unnecessary loss of life.

Ram also accused the government of misusing agencies like the Enforcement Directorate (ED) and the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) to intimidate opponents. He referred to the alleged manipulation of the electoral process, claiming that since 2014, numerous elections have been marred by vote theft facilitated through the Election Commission.

He concluded by noting that two commissioners from the Election Commission have validated Rahul Gandhi’s long-standing claims of electoral fraud, underscoring the coalition’s resolve to address these serious allegations.
